5/12/2016 (Permalink)

Alzheimer’s is a disease that attacks the brain and is the most common form of dementia. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 5 million Americans are living with the disease and 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia. The number of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease is growing rapidly and by mid-century, someone in the United States will develop the disease every 33 seconds.

The Alzheimer Association is a non-profit health organization which focuses on care, support, and research for Alzheimer’s disease. The mission of the association is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

SERVPRO of Cincinnati East recognizes the impact Alzheimer’s disease can have on families, communities, and the healthcare system and is a proud supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association. By donating to the Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Cincinnati Chapter, SERVPRO of Cincinnati East hopes to further the Association’s mission and provide support for those living with and affected by the disease.
